Brick Strips: Genuine Stone.

Our Bruges brick strips are carefully cut from real old bricks, with the characteristic old Belgian colors: marbled in red/orange with white "clouds" of lime. Each brick strip has its own unique character, infused with history and anecdotes. These stones come from demolished buildings and are loaded with character, giving your wall a special and nostalgic atmosphere. Ideal for creating an industrial wall that fits equally well in homes as in shops or restaurants.

Irregular Bonding.

Laying these old stones with their irregular formats requires some skill. Not all bricks have exactly the same size. It is important not to make the joints too narrow to be able to compensate for differences in size.

Upon delivery, there may also be breakage, which is inherent to this type of stone. We recommend starting each row with a different size and using broken brick strips to minimize breakage and cutting losses. Broken brick strips can also be placed between the regular bricks to reinforce the antique effect. We recommend laying the brick strips in an irregular bond and working with stones from several boxes at once.

In the photos, you can see the results with both white and gray mortar. You can order this mortar directly. It is recommended to slightly fill the joints so that the stones stand out more visually.

The brick strips are cut with water and may be slightly moist upon delivery. After drying, they retain their original color. For these brick strips, we recommend an extra strong adhesive (XL type) due to the weight and moisture. Please note that each delivery may vary slightly in color, as it is a product from demolition.
